so i got the email saying my painting would be gracing the cover of the spring issue of msfocus magazine! course nothing is official till its in your hands, right? i don't know if they'll use the interview i did with carolina nericcio or not but heres to hoping.

i had tysabri today. my brain is doing good--no shrinkage or active lesions yeah!

jack and i may make this thing we got OFFIC-ial. business is bad so mum and dad might have to lose health insurance. we still have to figure things out.

sure she looks fine, but is she really?

i hate people who pre-judge you. of course many of us look fine! but sometimes its an illusion.

so sweeny todd. i had to see it. i've seen the play (years ago) and needed to see the movie. my favorite part--mrs. lovats fantasy seen. oh, and seen in the market. the costuming was worth it but if you quease at the site of blood... maybe not for you.

this probably doesn't mean so much to those who pay a gas bill but jack and i will just be scraping by this winter. this is making christmas a very difficult holiday for us. i just can't get every one to accept that yet. like my nephews. : / the older one is negotiating for a very expensive present.

i have tysabri tomorrow morning. #14. that means 2 long trips for jack. i'm doing well except for the depression. i know its a side effect but still.

new sock class! we're doing sideways socks. cast on with waste yarn which i haven't done before. i'm using a beautiful colourway from trekking. next week is sock class and sock club. sock knitting from 1-6pm. thats alot of sock knitting.

figured out my swift was sucking and now its good. i shall wind yarn again soon. i'm working on arm warmers and its not doing to bad. need to figure out a good pattern for inbetween the ribbing but i'll check out my vogue book.

i have conquered my fear of dpns. i don't like them but i can use them. i'm making myself a pair of arm warmers for my tysabri days cause my arm always freeeeezes us! so we'll see.

i also conquered my fear of my ball winder and swift. too bad the swift sucks.

yes, i had my book read by 7:15 am including cat breaks. lets leave it that i'm satisfied with the series as a whole and that doesn't happen often. we went early for the partying and i got dressed up--why not? not so many costumes as i've seen before but there was a pretty convincing professor trelawney -wig. we got a bite to eat next door to the store and killed some time. i really wasn't on the same sugar high as the kids. we also got glow sticks and a poster.

is bushs colonoscopy really newsworthy? so he won't be in power for 2 days max. but its on my news like its really important.

so instead of picking up the gusset like i was hoping i had to frog the heel and go back and double the size of heel flap. rule of heel flap---if it folds over into a triangle its probably the right size. my teacher was late cause she forgot there was class today so i walked in and freaked out a little as jack drove away. so we stayed a little later and it was enjoyable despite all the frogging.

well, summer is definitely in. i seem to be losing my hands again. not totally, but enough that it is going to be a crappy summer. this time the left seems to be hit the hardest.

i finished my calorimetry (headband from knitty) last night. it took me too long to work on. plus--14" straights, splity-splity one size too big yarn, and socks. so i'm back on the socks and size 3 circs are much easier to be working with than size 8 straights. pictures to come later.

to celebrate the day he alerted us to the fact he had to go (brown alert) and then after going he unrolled most of the roll of toilet paper. i think we're going to have to start putting it on the back of the toilet.

never trust someone else's count on your project. i just had to frog a mostly turned heel and flap because of 4 stitches on the wrong needle : X $%^@$%^@%^@^@$%^@%^@$^

that was alot of work to frog. i am annoyed.

making mjadra (middle eastern lentil and onion dish) is not as easy as it seems. it turned out more like... a lentil and onion porridge. but i tried and my kitchen smells great.

one fabulous thing about the boat was someone cooking for you all the time.

my first sock class went swimmingly. there are only 3 of us so we're all doing our own projects. i decided to sign up for the second session cause they are doing a side to side sock (happy birthday to me!) i'm doing socks on 2 circs (cat bordhi) i'm about an inch in and my hands are suffering. my arm too. i think i keep hitting my port and compressing the vein.

i like these ladies. they are fun and real and pretty good with needles. along with my socks i'm going to practice doing some mistake swatches so i can fix my mistakes. its so hard for me to purposefully do something wrong but i can't keep letting the teachers fix my mistakes : .

i keep going to communities page cause i'd like to join the sock knitters but my computer is being difficult. i have to keep clearing out every time i start.

the wierd thing is i don't wear socks alot so i'll probably make some for gifts but its very satisfying to do more complicated work.

after taking an emergency knitting call yesterday (she is ok i think, but i'm not sure if the sweater is going to make it) i had my own emergency. i'm working on my frida head piece and after all that work it turned out horrible! i want to cry. i knew i ordered to balls in black for a good reason--not just i like black. but i was hoping to have the next 2 weeks to do the flowers while adjusting to the new meds

my hair is nearly ready to use one clip instead on two but i really wanted something fun for vacation. and for a professional photograph i'm making him get with me. one a year is all i ask. i miss being a photographers model. X used to take the greatest pics of me and chris. chris took some of my best shots ever. and jamie... well i signed a waiver so thats that.

scooter---denied

to get a scooter you must prove that:
1. you cannot move around in your residence (right now i use my walker for major stuff)
2. unable to operate a manual wheelchair
3. capable of safely operating controls for the scooter
4. can safely transfer in and out of the scooter
5. has adequate trunk stability to be able to safely ride/stay on the scooter.

i have only proven by doctors prescription that i have bilateral lower extremity instability and needs the scooter to move in both home and community.

so i must now go through the appeals process. i can understand i need to prove that i have to prove i am unable to operate a manual wheelchair--which even if i didn't have a pass port in my fore-arm i couldn't do anyway. but 3, 4 and 5--well i'm annoyed. and now that i've lost 30+lbs since i got measured in january i'm going for the smallest one.

it wouldn't matter so much but if i'm ever going to get disability in the eventuality i have to go through the proper chanels. but my dad is fixing the amigo : [ tomorrow so i can go a few places.

i did it. i put a downpayment (seriously) on 4 skeins of lorna's laces lion and lamb in baltic sea to make knitty's clapotis. gah! i've never paid so much for yarn but nothing else feels like it. my other choices were mineshaft, black pearl and forest. i'm not really a purply girl all the time so black pearl wouldn't work so well and jack didn't like forest. when someone says they'd sleep naked in it--you really want to find out.

i really like bittersweet but that much brightness... well i'm reverting back to my non-dance costume days. i need to update all my user pics if roomie will ever fix my computer. its been 2 years so i need to replace the pic of jack and me.

we went to dearborn music last night after la shish. i picked up an eddie brickell, nitzer ebb and the church cds--used of course. i need to turn some in that i don't listen too anymore. was looking for some other stuff but they didn't have it.
